Description
CFWZ Series marine crushing pump
一、General
The CFWZ series marine pulverizing pump is a centrifugal discharge pump used for pulverizing and conveying soft waste in domestic sewage with a temperature below 85℃. The maximum diameter of solid particles after circulation pulverization is no more than 5mm. It is also suitable for pulverizing marine heavy oil at low temperatures, facilitating spraying.

How to select a marine shredder pump?
I. Defining Operating Requirements
Media Properties: Shipboard wastewater typically contains fibers, ropes, paper scraps, plastic particles, and household debris. A pump capable of effectively pulverizing these solids must be selected. Understand the maximum particle size in the wastewater to determine the pulverizing pump’s cutting capacity.
Flow Rate and Head: Calculate the required flow rate (m³/h) and head (m) based on the ship’s wastewater discharge and piping system design. Sufficient safety margins should be provided to accommodate changes in operating conditions.
Installation Requirements: Confirm whether the pump body is submersible or dry-mounted. The size of the installation space and the site environment (such as temperature and salt spray intensity) directly affect the material and sealing.
II. Pulverizing Structure Design
Blade Design: Select blades made of high-hardness, corrosion-resistant stainless steel (such as 316L). The shape should be optimized to avoid entanglement and clogging, improving cutting efficiency.
Pulverizing Chamber: The internal space design of the pulverizing chamber should ensure smooth material entry into the cutting area, avoiding blind spots that could cause blockage or damage. A multi-stage cutting mechanism helps improve pulverization thoroughness.
Particle Size: Confirm the maximum size of solid particles that can be pulverized and discharged to ensure the pump can handle the expected maximum impurities without clogging.
III. Motor and Pump Performance Parameters
Motor Power and Speed: Select a suitable motor power based on flow rate, head, and pulverization requirements. A 20-30% margin should typically be allowed in the power rating, and the speed should generally be between 1500 and 3000 rpm to ensure pulverization efficiency while controlling energy consumption and vibration.
Sealing Design: Multiple mechanical seals prevent water and contaminants from entering the motor, preventing damage.
Cooling Method: A water-cooled submersible motor design is typically used to ensure safe operation in submersible environments.
Material Corrosion Resistance: The pump body, impeller, and mounting components are made of high-grade stainless steel (316L or higher) and have undergone anti-corrosion treatment.
Protection Rating: The motor and pump body should meet IP68 standards, suitable for full submersion and prolonged operation in humid environments.
IV. Structure, Installation, and Maintenance
Installation Method: Submersible pulverizer pumps are best equipped with a guide rail system for easy daily maintenance and disassembly.
Ease of Maintenance: The quick-disassembly design of the crushing blades and impeller facilitates cleaning and replacement of spare parts.
Monitoring and Protection: Equipped with blockage protection, overload protection, and temperature monitoring to improve equipment reliability.
Size and Weight: Compact structure and moderate weight, convenient for installation in confined spaces on board ships.
V. Technical Certifications and Services
Classification Society Certification: Ensures the pump meets international classification society standards such as CCS, ABS, and DNV GL, guaranteeing safety and seaworthiness.
Quality Assurance: Selects brand manufacturers with extensive experience in marine pump manufacturing to ensure product stability and reliability.
After-Sales Support: A comprehensive technical support and spare parts supply system facilitates quick repair and maintenance.
VI. Examples of Typical Parameters (For Reference Only)
| project | Reference range |
|---|---|
| flow | 5~50 m³/h |
| Water pump head | 10~50 m |
| Motor power | 1.5~15 kW |
| Maximum solid particle size | 20~50 mm |
| Material | Stainless steel 316L and above |
| Protection level | IP68 |
| Operating mode | Submersible, continuous or intermittent operation |
| Insulation class | Class F and above |
In summary, the key to selecting a marine pulverizing pump is to comprehensively analyze the nature of the wastewater, pulverizing capacity, and the specific environment of the vessel. This includes choosing a pulverizing mechanism with sharp and corrosion-resistant blades, a submersible motor with a high protection rating, scientifically designed flow rate and head parameters, and an easy-to-maintain installation structure. It is also essential to ensure that the product complies with international classification society certifications and that the manufacturer has comprehensive technical and after-sales service support.
